Sports Time

Introducing Sports Time!
He was my very first stallion and I found him unexpectedly in a secondhand shop!

He was in lovely condition and I just adore those little freckles on his face!

In my 'herd' I imagine him as the best friend of Lemon Drop, they both enjoy sports and friendly competition, he is a little more shy and awkward around ponies he doesn't know so well, though :)

Before and After 2

Continuing to fix up my childhood ponies.
Here's a couple of lanard fakies that I used to call "Morotsblomma" and "Stjärnblomma" ( Carrot Flower and Star Flower. )
I thought I had taken a before-photo of Star, but I must have forgotten to, so instead you get an extra carrot.

And my very fancy carousel sisters Lysa and Rosie.
I renamed them quite a few times, but these are the names I remember usin the most as a kid.

I don't actually know much about the toys themselves, if you know anything about what company made them or what they towline is called, please let me know! :)

Before and After

I washed and styled a couple of old toys.
As I am happy with the results I will post a couple of photos here.

First up is my Lucky Pony Fakie from Childhood.

I used to pretend she was Clovers Aunt.
I love her mold, such an adorable happy looking pony!

And though not a pony, Creamy Coat turned out looking shiny and new after her bath.

I got her as a bonus in a Pony lot I bought down in Helsingborg.
She is a Curly Kitten from the Lady Lovely Locks set ( Mattel ).

Princess Sparkle

When my Parents gave me Clover; she came with a little pamphlet full of lovely little photos of ponies.
Among those ponies one stood out, Princess Sparkle.

My little heart fell in love.
Just look at her, how could anyone not?
Covered in glitter from hooves to ears, a royal crown with fiber optic lights that change color?!
Truly, if you like princessy stuff it simply doesn't get better than this :P

I folded the brochure up so that she was in front, then I gently put it up on my wall with some sticky tack, so that I could look at her photo and dream about having the toy myself one day.

And that day came, just about twenty years later.
Again, my amazing fiancé/enabler found this gem for me at a decent prize so I could add her to my collection.
And she is one of my most prized ponies today and I know she always will be.

And she still works too!

Baby Explorer!

Hello again!
Let me introduce one of my holy grail ponies.
Baby Explorer

On my first family vacation as a little girl
Me, my parents and my brothers went to Greece.

We were walking down a cobblestone street on a warm sunny day and my mother noticed a small toy shop with a fan inside, we stepped in to cool of and there she was....
Bright yellow with sparkles in her mane; Baby Explorer!

Of course I begged my parents for her and they were kind enough to grant my wish.
I remember playing with her a lot during our time in Greece as well as on the plane ride home.

Unfortunately my pony happiness was over quickly, as she disappeared shortly after we came back to Sweden.

I was devastated!
As a child I had trouble connecting with others but each one of my toys was a friend.
So loosing one of them was extremely hard for me.
Even far into the future, I regretted not keeping better watch over her, she was the only pony that I had not been able to keep safe in my collection till adult age.

Then I met George, and on the first Christmas Celebration that we spent together he somehow managed to track down this european exclusive for me.

He truly is an incredibly thoughtful and loving man.
I am so thankful to have him in my life!

Lemon Drop

Today I'd like to introduce my Lemon Drop!
From the 1982 Showstable Playset.
My wonderful amazing fiancé got her for me yesterday as a surprise gift!

When I was little my best friend had the 'Pony Show stable'
The Pony that came with the stable was the lovely lemon drop.
I always wanted to have one of my own and now finally I do!

He also helped me find the show stable with it's original parts and accessories.
So now I am beginning to make plans on how to restore it!

Fulfilling childhood dreams step by step!

My first Pony.

It only seems fitting to begin my blog with the one pony that started it all.

Clover from 7 tales, made in 1987, my very first pony!

If you ever watched the 'My little pony tales' TV series you'll know her! She was the character I identified the most with as she was often very lucky but also very clumsy.
She meant well but often messed things up, just like me.

My parents gave her to me one Christmas, I don't remember what year it was but I remember the extreme joy I felt.
They let me sleep on the living room sofa that night with Clover right next to me on the table, the warm light from the tree lit her up so beautifully.
She will always be extra special to me.
